About me
Hi, I'm Steffani!
Welcome to Monarch Tides! I'm so happy you're here.
I created this little corner of the internet to be a warm, encouraging space where moms can feel inspired, supported, and, most importantly, reminded that they aren't alone. Motherhood is beautiful, messy, joyful, exhausting, and everything in between! I believe every part of that journey deserves to be celebrated.
Writing has always been one of my greatest passions. As a UCLA graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English, I've always loved telling stories and connecting with others through words. This blog has become the perfect place to combine that passion with the experiences that have shaped my life.
For six years, I navigated life as a single mom. Those years challenged me in ways I never expected, but they also transformed me. They taught me resilience, gratitude, and how to find joy even during life's hardest seasons. No matter what we were facing, I wanted my son to grow up surrounded by love, adventure, and the reminder that happiness could still be found in the little moments.
Life surprised me in the best way when I met my wonderful partner. Together we've blended our family with his two incredible children and created a home with so much more extra love. Blending families certainly comes with its own challenges, but it has also been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Every day has taught me something new about patience, compassion, and creating a home where everyone feels seen, valued, and deeply loved.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me working as a personal trainer, spending time outdoors with my family, experimenting with new recipes, reading a good book, or chasing after our ever-growing crew of pets. I'm also pursuing graduate school to become a marriage and family therapist, a dream that's rooted in my passion for helping people build healthy, connected relationships.
My hope is that Monarch Tides becomes more than just a blog. I hope it feels like a friend you can come back to; a place filled with simple family ideas, honest conversations, encouragement for the hard days, and inspiration to embrace the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
So grab a cup of coffee, stay awhile, and know that whatever season you're in, we're navigating it together.
I'm so grateful you're here.
